EPP

Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) is a highly versatile closed-cell bead foam that provides a unique range of properties, including outstanding energy absorption, multiple impact resistance, thermal insulation, buoyancy, water and chemical resistance, exceptionally high strength to weight ratio and 100% recyclability. EPP can be made in a wide range of densities, from 15 to 200 grams per litre, which are transformed by moulding into densities ranging from 18 to 260 grams per litre. Individual beads are fused into final product form by the steamchest moulding process resulting in a strong and lightweight shape.

Grades Available

EPP is available in grades necessary for a wide range of applications, based on the technical requirements. High density grades are used where energy management is important, such as automotive bumpers and interior passenger safety components. Low density grades are used for packaging applications, and medium densities find applications in furniture and other consumer products.

Applications

EPP is widely utilised by automotive manufacturers because of its performance benefits for energy management, lightweight, enhanced functionality, durability and recyclability. Applications include seating, bumpers, stowage systems, door panels, pillars, floor levelers, parcel shelves, head rests, tool kits, sun visors and myriad filler parts.

EPP is approved for use in conjunction with food products. Its thermal insulation properties and structural strength make it appropriate for containers such as food delivery containers and beverage coolers and the like. EPP does not support microbial growth and can be made sterile with steam cleaning.

EVA

EVA plastic foam is a kind of EVA foam, which has the functions of thermal insulation, shock absorption and buffering, sound insulation and cold protection. EVA foam has a fine and uniform cell structure that allows it to be processed like other thermoplastics. It retains its flexibility and elasticity, recovers quickly from compression, and absorbs color. The foam is usually formed in a mold, which becomes a sheet of closed-cell foam (“”bun””). The size of the bread depends on the density of the foam. Depending on the specification, bread is sliced ​​or made into a specific shape or item.

1. Thermal insulation: PEF and EVA have a fine independent bubble structure, and the air convection is small, so the thermal conductivity is low.
2. Shock absorption and buffering: PEF and EVA are light in material, rich in elasticity, and have good shock resistance.
3. Sound insulation and cold protection: PEF and EVA have 100% airtight rooms, which have good sound insulation effect and can prevent noise.
4. Anti-aging: antibacterial, oil resistance, alkali resistance, acid resistance and its chemicals. The service life is more than 25 years.
5. Very low water absorption: low density and excellent floating performance.
6. Low temperature resistance: The physical properties will not change under the conditions of -170 ℃ to 105 ℃, which is very suitable for the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry as a thermal insulation material.
7. Flame retardancy: PEF and EVA have flame retardancy after formula adjustment.
8. Anti-corrosion: no corrosive effect on metal equipment.
9. No pollution: This product is non-toxic, tasteless, mildew, insect-eaten, and rotten.
10. Beautiful appearance: smooth and smooth, colorful and diverse.
11. Convenient construction: The material is easy to process and can be cut arbitrarily. When fitting the equipment for maintenance, the thermal insulation material can be reused many times to reduce the thermal insulation cost.
